Position

Brand Marketing Coordinator

Reports to

Brand Marketing Manager

Support in executing all local marketing and communication activities and ensure brand exposure is consistent and aligned with our brand identity and philosophy.


Responsibilities

Brand Image

  • Understand what makes our brand unique in a measurable manner and accordingly always act in a way that will let us maintain and/or improve our brand image
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing Manager to ensure that we are present in media outlets/channels that will maintain/improve our brand image and awareness goals (e.g. architecture, design, literature, etc.), leveraging product placement and brand assets
  • Ensure that all public communications are done following our brand image and tone and manner (including videos, images and texts) 

Public Relations

  • In line with Aesop global and local strategies, work closely with Brand Marketing Manager and public relations agency to define and maintain an adequate and rigorous standard for Japanese media list and coverage management and maintenance
  • Work closely with the right partners/tools to establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant industry key opinion leaders and digital advocates
  • Manage all incoming media requests and ensure prompt and thorough follow up with the relevant partner(s)
  • Ensure all media releases are up to date and proofread by the relevant departments
  • Be the key point of contact for our various agency partners

Events, Partnerships and Sponsorships

  • Coordinate events, partnerships and sponsorship activations in line with the yearly marketing calendar and guidelines supplied by global/regional teams
  • Act as a liaison between all relevant stakeholders (internal and external) to gain support for smooth execution of events
  • Assist in researching, identifying and generating new sponsorship opportunities by establishing and maintaining relationships with culturally aligned partners

Social Media Marketing

  • Utilizing the appropriate tools, collect data to monitor and analyze trends that are relevant to our brand and ensure the findings are shared with relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Plan and execute social media plans that support our strategic directions and priorities

New Store Openings

  • Work with Brand Marketing Manager to manage internal and external communications related to new store openings/relocations and leverage communication opportunities
  • Act as the key point of contact for communications related inquiries from external partners involved in the project(s)
  • Thoroughly plan and ensure project progress is on track using the appropriate project management tools

Internal Engagement

  • Foster a spirit of transparency and collaboration by sharing about our Brand Marketing activities with our office colleagues and store consultants
  • Assisting Brand Marketing Manager, regularly feed materials and stories that elevate our colleagues’ engagement and understanding of the brand to ensure correct messages are delivered to customers

Reporting

  • Support Brand Marketing Manager with monthly reports on brand marketing activities
  • Analyze and help internal stakeholders visualize the performance of our brand marketing efforts on a regular basis (with tools such as, but not limited to, our weekly brand marketing dashboard or our weekly coverage email)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of branding and/or public relations experience (preferably in one or more of the following industries: beauty, skincare, fashion or design industries)
  • Being comfortable with English (spoken and written)
  • High communication skills to liaise with relevant stakeholders
  • Experience with social media marketing
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate ability of multi-tasking and coordinating fast-paced projects
  • Experience with digital communication/PR tools is a plus (e.g. Meltwater, PR Analyzer, etc.)
  • Strong interest in literature, art and culture is a plus
